My name is Wanda. I'am the wife and widow of Ricky Adderley. Rick had an aneurysm at work. An aneurysm that was a blockage that ruptured in his head. A person can actually live up to a day or two while having an aneurysm as the skull protects the brain. Rick had his at work & was immediately careflighted to the John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. They had him sedated to lower his blood pressure & heart rate to a very slow beat so they could open his head and drain the blood. Well shortly after arriving the hospital learned he had no insurance he also had marijuana in his system so they didn't want to treat him. As a doctor came out to the waiting room and proceeded to tell me that sedating him was not lowering his blood pressure and heart rate which is NOT TRUE as when a person is sedated -> the blood pressure and heart rate can't do anything but lower. Little did the Dr know -> I have common sense and personal experience with JPS already that I myself barely survived. So I immediately interrupted her and told her I was having him transferred to Baylor which truly is the BEST hospital. Rick's daughter Leanna Adderley who hasn't even talked to Rick in over 10 years because she hates him for being married to me huddled with the doctor when I wasn't looking and they partnered up on me demanding a marriage license knowing that him and I never walked down an aisle before preacher in a church but we've been together for 11 years and are common-law married so they knew what a hassle it would be for me to get proof in the state of mind I was in with my man's present condition and plus the covid-19 national crisis going on they knew how hard it would be for me to gather up what I needed to prove who I am. So they decided that he was brain dead and that he needed to be unplugged his organs were being donated. I begged Leanna Adderley to stop what she was doing and she told me to shut up or I won't get to see him before they do it. Then they gave me until 2pm January 5, 2021 to find a legal way to stop them from killing him before they perform their fatal operation because they didn't believe I could come up with it. So at approximately 9:30am I showed up at the hospital with legal proof of my marriage, Rick's son who is older than Leanna and has legal authority over Leanna, and a witness. The hospital pretended to have legal intentions and sent us to the legal team building. Where they sat us in a meeting room and gave us bottled water and assured us that we were in the right place and someone would be right with us. We prayed because we had a sick feeling but believed that everything couldn't be anything but ok because the law is the law. After about 30 -> 45 minutes sitting in that meeting room -> the chaplain and 2 Fort Worth Police officers showed up. The chaplain enters the meeting room while 2 Fort Worth Police officers wait outside the door. The chaplain talked with us for about 30 minutes when his phone rang. He said... "Hello. Yes yes. Would you like me to put you on speaker phone?" Then he set the phone on the table. A woman's voice said from the phone ... "Wanda Rehart" I said..."Yes ma'am" Then she says... "Brandon Adderley" He said... "Yes ma'am" And she said..."I'm sorry about your loss but you're too late. We have already harvested his organs and he's on his way to the medical examiners office." (He was NOT an organ donor) Omg Brandon and I were living a nightmare! Brandon ran out of the office and I tried to run after him but my legs couldn't carry me. Since then I have learned that we might not ever get much if any justice at all for the part the hospital played only because it happened in the emergency room and emergency rooms are not liable for much if anything at all. I have also learned that Leanna Adderley was paid $250 for donating her father's organs to Life Gift. And after that -> her and her drug addict best friend Krystal Haynes came to Fort Worth and Leanna lied to the owner of the storage facility where we have a storage -> claiming that her father passed away and she was to collect his things. She then paid the bill which was disgustingly around the same amount of money she received from selling her father. Then she and Crystal stole many items which belonged to Rick and I. Brandon was angry and felt violated as I was giving everything in the storage to him. But he was in such shock at what his sister had already done that he'd convinced himself or was trying to believe that she was being influenced rather than being the selfish, cold hearted, devious, murdering, drug phene that she is. She not only stole Rick's life for almost nothing but she robbed his loved ones a chance to say good bye and lay him to rest properly by his wife and eldest son. She created an obituary that did NOT describe Rick at all. She put herself 1st while she is a middle child. She listed my name as a close friend while I'am his wife. The song she had played was the only song by ZZ Top that he did NOT like. And the only family members of Rick Adderley who were present were Jeremiah Adderley, Brandon Adderley, Lisa Adderley, Suzie Ward, and his sister in law Dana Adderley. None of his friends and associates were there. Not one. Every single person at the funeral except for Jeremiah Adderley, Brandon Adderley, Lisa Adderley, Suzie Ward, and his sister in law Dana Adderley were either family members who disowned Rick, people who hadn't seen or talked to Rick in 20 years +, or people who were his enemy. The funeral was more like an after party. They had a blast. While all the rest of his loved ones were here in Fort Worth crying in shock, and feeling robbed. The night mare was endless as I also had to see photos of Rick that Leanna had screenshot/cropped from his Facebook page & posted as if she knew him and all the many condolences she was receiving while she was leading other people to believe that Brandon was crazy and needed meds. It was horrifying, cruel, and sick. Every single word in this post is the 100% TRUTH. Rick was awesome! He was funny! He loves chili dogs, mamwhich, root beer, flee markets, antiques, and gamerooms. His favorite band is ZZ Top and his favorite song by them is Stages. The family he left behind was his sons whom he loves dearly & is so proud of Jeremiah Adderley, Brandon Adderley, his sister Lisa Adderley who loves and appreciates more than he ever expressed as she's always been the best sister he could ever ask for, his cousin Suzie Ward who he's been very close to since they were little babies. Suzie Ward was the greatest cousin to Rick and he loves and appreciates her too more than he's ever expressed & sister in law Dana Adderley whom he also loves dearly as she was always a good sister to him. And me Wanda Rehart. His wife, his best friend, his biggest fan, his soul mate, his other half. I can't put into words how much and how deeply I love Rick. He is the love and was the light in my life. My light is gone but my love will always be. I have loved him before I ever even knew his name. And last but not least -> he left his Kittie behind. He loves his cat so much. He spoiled her rotten.
For the people who love Rick & find this blog hard to accept -> I'M WITH YOU! I'm still having a hard time accepting or even believing what happened almost 4 months later -> although I was there! I don't even know where or how to start healing from this. But I do know that from the very bottom of my heart -> Thank you for loving Rick & for being whoever you are to him.
And for those other people or whatever who do not love Rick & find this blog inconvenient or convicting -> I DON'T CARE HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT IT. There is NOTHING that can be legally done to me for saying what I've said in this blog -> cuz every word is TRUE. So all you can do is continue to contact people who've read it trying to convince them it's all lies. As if people are stupid & don't realize that it all must be true or it would be taken off of Google & I would be facing lawsuit.
